I just watched Hillary Clinton’s video address to Democrats about our awakening since the election and her optimism about our future leaders. Then, against my better judgement, I read some of the comments. The comments came from supportive and grateful admirers to con(job)servative trolls and ignorant haters, to ardent “Bernie would have won” believers. Some commenters wished Hillary would just go away in order for a new leader to emerge. Have these folks watched the video?
Hillary expressed excitement for the next wave of Democratic leaders to arise from the resistance and offered her support to those leaders. I viewed her video as a passing of the baton to the next generation of leaders, not as an attempt for her to stay in the limelight. Watch it and let me know what you think.

Besides, now that Hillary is a private citizen, she has every right to speak her mind (like anyone else) about the current state of affairs. Until a new leader emerges, I, for one, still value and want to hear her competent, intelligent, and experienced views on world affairs. Strangely, I find myself agreeing with Republican Trump supporter Ben Stein when he said on CBS Sunday Morning a couple of days after the inauguration, “Don’t ‘lock her up’ — call her up for advice. She’s an intelligent woman!”
