My prediction: James Comey’s testimony will mean NOTHING. Actually, less than nothing.
Less than nothing to the Republican Congress and nothing to every one of Trump’s supporters.
Looking for some sort of salvation through stultifying and stilted testimony (with big words that Trump and his followers can’t even understand) in front of Congress (which, by the way, is controlled by the Republicans) is like sending out Donny Osmond to win “Rapper of the Year.”
I confess my “make a wish” moment is to have a spelling bee somewhere in middle America and make the winning word “emoluments.” Continue reading “Get Dirty”
Eric Trump is an entitled douchebag who has no idea he’s talking about himself.
Last night on Sean Calamity Shamity’s propaganda of lies show on the sly-as-a-fox “news” channel, he said Democrats in Washington are not even people. This is a blatant attempt to dehumanize and eventually make it easier to rationalize violence, or worse, extermination. We’ve been here before and we cannot allow corrosive hate like this to go unchallenged.
What he said is not only vile and disgusting, it is dangerous. It sends a signal to the brainwashed—or as I like to call them asswashed for having their heads so far up Sean Shamity’s rectum—and mind-controlled flock that violence against your adversary is justified, because after all, they aren’t human. His comment needs to be vehemently denounced by all decent human beings. Especially Republicans. Hello? Are there any decent ones still out there? Continue reading “The Dehumanization Begins”
8-year-old Aiden Miller recounted an extremely vivid near-death experience Friday that reportedly contained detailed descriptions of heaven, angels, and a six-figure book deal. “I was walking up in the clouds and met friends, and strangers, and all these famous people who talked with me about all kinds of things and brought up the possibility of selling the rights to my story to a big-name publisher…”
Then he met the angel of Patrick Henry who said, “Give me publishing or give me death.” And Jesus responded, “What’s the difference?”
When a person projects, they tend to fervently accuse others of traits, flaws, and issues that are really about themselves. It is blame shifting. Trump and his propaganda machine (including feckless Republicans) have mastered this primitive defense mechanism and elevated it to a sickening art form.
Hillary is crooked = I am crooked.
She is corrupt = I am corrupt.
The Clintons are criminals = I am a criminal.
Rosie is a pig = I am a pig.
The election is rigged = I am rigging it.
Obama is sick = I am sick.
The media is the enemy of the people = I am the enemy the people.
Anything he labels or calls a disaster = I am a disaster.
Almost every time he opens his mouth to criticize someone else, he is actually talking about himself.
A particular, perverse and peculiar appendage of the great voting body in 2016 was the “Hillary and Trump are equal evils” limb sprouting from the communal liberal heart cavity.
Even as a passionate Sanders supporter in the early days, I had no problem turning my allegiance to Clinton after she became the candidate of note. It was crystal clear to me that there was no comparison between the two chosen ones. It was like contrasting Lord Voldemort with Albus Dumbledore. Any third grader could see that.
When a candidate receives 2.9 million more votes and still ends up losing, something is seriously wrong with our election system. That’s 2.9 million voters who don’t matter. Their votes, representing more than the total population of eighteen individual states (based on 2010 census), and is more than the total vote in thirty-four states, may as well have been incinerated. We could void votes for Trump in eight states combined (Alaska, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, West Virginia, and Nebraska) or in Ohio alone and still not reach 2.9 million. Imagine the outrage if his votes in any one of those states simply didn’t count. Continue reading “twopointnine don’t count”
During the 2016 election, fake news spread like pollen in an arid Putin spring. Facebook did nothing to stop the proliferation. I’ve deactivated my account until they address the problem. If/when I return to FB, this will be my cover photo. In the meantime, feel free to make it yours.
